MUWO rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings during term time, from 7.30-9.30pm in the new Cosmo Rodewald Concert Hall in the Martin Harris Centre for Music and Drama. Socialisation and band integration take place in a local hostelry afterwards. People interested in joining are invited to come along to a rehearsal to 'try it out' before committing themselves.

"Manchester University Wind Orchestra is a flagship for the university – with over 90 players, it is one of the largest organised parties to represent a university through serious, dedicated, and more importantly, professional performances throughout the country and now throughout Europe. We have a detailed agenda, as we strive to push MUWO into becoming one of the best wind orchestras in the country, but it needs continued financial support if we are to reach our artistic and academic goals."
