On Saturday 9th December 2006, MUWO were joined by young musicians from all over the North West to celebrate their 10th Anniversary in a Gala Concert at the RNCM. The band played to a capacity audience, and the concert ended with a massed band of over 180 players performing Ernest Tomlinson's Suite of English Folk-Dances with the composer in attendance.
On 22nd April, MUWO joined up with the wind orchestras of Sheffield and Leeds Universities in a concert in the Firth Hall at the University of Sheffield.
MUWO also gave a concert at the BASBWE International Wind Festival at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama on Saturday 30th June.
